After a decade as a senior manager at a listed company, Trevor Bouwer co-founded the firm and currently holds a BA, LLB, LLM in Taxation and H Dip in Company Law.  In 1996, he was admitted as a Conveyancer and Notary, and given his previous position has vast experience in general commercial issues, labour, tax and litigation.  Trevor also consults to a number of external universities and adjudicates on various matters.

The firm was founded by Elizabeth Cardona in 1995 after completion of her clerkship and two years as a professional assistant.  She currently holds a BA, LLB and her postgraduate qualifications in mediation denote her expertise in family mediation and family law.  As well as being admitted as a Conveyancer and Notary, Elizabeth has a particular interest in working with charities and non-governmental organisations and is a sworn translator of Portuguese/English documentation.  This last skill has proven extremely useful in dealing with commercial clients from Mozambique, Angola, Portugal and Brazil.

Both Trevor Bouwer and Elizabeth Cardona are admitted to appear in the High Court, and they are both Commissioners of the Small Claims Court in Johannesburg.
